Ellen DeGeneres

Ellen DeGeneres is an American comedian, television host, actress, writer, and producer. She starred in the sitcom Ellen from 1994 to 1998 and has hosted her syndicated TV talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, since 2003. Besides being known as a talk show host, she is also someone who believes in women should have a voice against all odds. She strongly supports the LGBT community. She has 51 charities aiming to both save animals and planets and charities for peace among countries.

DeGeneres has won 30 Emmy Awards, 20 People's Choice Awards (more than any other person), and numerous other awards for her work and charitable efforts. On January 5, 2020, DeGeneres won the Golden Globes Carol Burnett Lifetime Achievement Award. Perhaps the most prestigious award of them all is the “presidential medal of freedom” which was given to her last November 11, 2016. This award was given to her since this is given to those individuals who show exemplary work into making the country better, no matter where you are from nor who you are.

Despite being stigmatized for her sexuality, Ellen DeGeneres was still able to bloom and is now inspiring other women to bloom as well.
